By accessing or using the Garli mobile application ("App") and any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Garli is a recipe management and cooking companion application that allows users to:
- Save and import recipes from URLs, social media, and other sources using AI
- Organize recipes into collections
- Plan weekly meals and generate grocery lists
- Follow step-by-step cooking instructions
- Earn XP, achievements, and participate in gamification features
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it updated.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display through the Service, including recipes, notes, and images ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Garli a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
- Upload malicious content or spam
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Scrape or collect data from the Service without authorization
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Garli and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Garli name, logo, and mascot are trademarks of Garli.
7. Third-Party Content
Recipes imported via URL or AI extraction are sourced from third-party websites. Garli does not claim ownership of these recipes and provides them for personal, non-commercial use only. We encourage users to credit original recipe creators.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Recipe information, including nutritional data, is provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional dietary advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Garli shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to food allergies, dietary issues, or cooking accidents.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the App or email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
